| PLEASE NOTE The URL for our Internet Stream has recently changed. If you have bookmaked it or saved it in your media player, it will need changing to the URL shown below. |
Tank FM's streaming audio is encoded live from the main audio originating from the studio located in Kempsey, NSW and sent via our internet connection to the Internode streaming server located in Adelaide South Australia.
What you are hearing is the same audio feed that goes to air on FM 103.1Mhz, in the Macleay Valley, with the only difference being that the audio via the internet is delayed by approximately 20-30seconds.
If you would like to listen to this service in your own player - such as Windows Media Player or Winamp - type the following into the player...

It is possible that you may need to download or upgrade the Adobe Flash Player. It is a free download and available at http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayer
ATTENTION INTERNODE CUSTOMERS
Listening to this stream from your home Internode account means data usage is not counted towards your monthly quota while listening! Enjoy!
Q: How much data do I use listening to your stream?
A: Tank FM uses a 160k stream, that would utilise approximately 120Megabytes per hour. With a high level of buffering the data usage may be more. The figure above does take into account some minor startup and occasional ongoing buffering.
Q: Is your current high bandwidth stream available to be listened to via someone on a dialup internet connection?
A: Unfortunately no, as a dialup internet connection download speed is typically around the 40-50kb/sec range. This speed is too slow to listen to Tank FM's stream. The economics of supplying a lower speed version of our stream is under consideration.
Q: Why did you recently change the URL of your stream?
A: Internode, our stream sponsor, recently undertook a project to relocate their Radio streams onto their new Content Distribution Network (CDN). This not only provides Tank FM with a more robust/high availability platform to stream from, it also allows our listener count to increase. More information on the Internode CDN can be found at http://www.internode.on.net/business/hosting_and_content/content_delivery/
