Mike Daley chats to Peter FitzSimons AM.                                                                                    Peter is a journalist, author, a regular TV commentator, a former radio presenter and is also a former national representative rugby union player. He has been the chair of the Australian Republic Movement since 2015.                                                                                                 

Peter was named a Member of the Order of Australia for service to literature as a biographer, sports journalist and commentator, and to the community through contributions to conservation, disability care, social welfare and sporting organisations.

Mike Daley speaks with local author Daniel Layton about his first book, 'LUCIUS BARCA and the GLADIATOR'S REBELLION'.                                                                                                       Daniel, lives in South West Rocks and has worked as High School History/Geography Teacher at Kempsey High school for 4years. In 2007, he graduated from the NSW Police Force and was stationed at Kempsey and South West Rocks.                                                                           His novel follows four best friends in 100AD Rome. The main characters are inseparable and adventurous and little naughty. Their lives change one night when they rescue a famous wounded gladiator. A plot at the emperors palace threatens to tear the empire apart and puts the four friends and families lives in danger.
